First time here. My fiancé and I are just traveling through so I had time to do some online searching while in the truck. I decided on this restaurant based on the previous reviews and it did not disappoint! I ordered online to save some drive time - that was easy peasy. Parking was great - I was concerned we would have to park on the street but they have a spacious side parking lot. The restaurant was clean - I was surprised that I was the only customer in there! I was expecting it to be busy during lunch hour. Our food was hot, ready and being bagged up as soon I got there. The woman at the counter was very friendly and helped me choose my drinks and chips. The sandwiches were delicious with the homemade sauce and bread. Thank you for great service

Stopped in by chance while in Fresno and all I can say is wow! The garlish spread is to die for! Make sure to take them up on a free sample. YUMMMM! I had the Prancing Pastrami which comes on a lightly toasted light rye, 6oz. of deliciously tender pastrami, cheddar cheese, their special coleslaw, and their delicious garlish spread. Although I was full after eating 1/2 of my sandwich, I just couldn't stop myself from eating the whole thing in 1 sitting! Customer service is beyond great! They definitely make sure you feel welcomed and taken care of. I am now thinking of what I'm going to order the next time I'm in Fresno.

This place is so good!! They have good quality meats/cheese/bread. Don't mean to over hype it, but this is probably the best sub I've ever had. It's pricey but worth every penny! Excited to come back and try different things. excellent customer service too!

I came here on a weekday and bought 3 sandwiches, soup, and some garlic dip. The garlic dip was delicious and there re different levels of garlic to try in the dips, which you can sample in store if you'd like. There's a Fresno Bee article about them opening up a few months ago both as a sandwich shop and as a kitchen to make their specialty garlic dips and sell them in the Central Valley up to the Sacramento area. We got the sandwiches on sourdough bread and though it would have been nice to have the sandwiches toasted, that's probably something to ask for since it wasn't offered. I liked the chicken salad sandwich since the chicken was fresh and the shreddings were solid. My partner said the salmondon tasted like a bagel, but was a little different. My dad also liked the sausage and thought the sandwich was pretty good. Overall, if you like garlic spread, this place is for you. However, if you're not as big of a fan of garlic, it might be more tricky since they use their staple garlic spread in place of mayo and other sauces normally found on sandwiches. They also have pizzas, soups, and other items on their menu so I would surely give them a try!

Great friendly service. I opted for the pizza which was great. I plan on coming back to try something different. Inside is clean and bright. I bought some garlic sauce out of the case to take home which was great! They have several flavors to choose from.

I consider myself to be a sandwich aficionado so when a new downtown deli opened I couldn't wait to try! I prefer locally owned delis over national chains and Garlishous did not disappoint! The service was welcoming and so helpful. I believe the owner was at the register and explained where they source their high quality ingredients. I love that they put so much effort into making meaningful choices for their ingredients, you can definitely taste it! I LOVED their bread. It was soft, and the right ratio to the toppings. Also I'll be back for their garlic spread it made the sandwich so good I want it at home! The inside is small and perfect for a fast lunch, a few tables if you eat there but I mostly grab these to go. I'll be back soon! They've definitely gained a customer here!

So I went in opening day. I try to give businesses the benefit of the doubt on the first day. It was a decent sandwich, but I have mixed feels. First off, for a first day, these guys were slammed and did great! I had to wait 35 minutes for my sandwich, but honestly, their customer service was wonderful that it really wasn't that bad. I was greatly impressed with how cool everyone was, and how friendly they all were treating each other. Everyone seemed busy, but everyone was incredibly friendly and helpful. The seating area was a typically sandwich shop with maybe enough seating for 30-40. The floor and the tables were clean. The sandwich itself was not bad. The bread was this wonderful tasty toasted light rye. It was fresh, and just delightful to eat. The garlic sauce was delicious but completely overpowered by the Russian sauce. I will say this, that Russian sauce was one of the best Russian sauces I've ever had. The freshness of the garlic and other flavors are just incredible. The big down side for me was the amount of meat in my sandwich; there was hardly any meat. I watched the lady behind the counter place 3 thin slices of corned beef on my sandwich. When I asked her for more, she added two additional thin slices and up-charged me $2 for "extra meat". Please see the photo of my sandwich showing what double meat looks like for this place. It's just wrong when the bread is larger than the middle part of the sandwich. All in all, for a first day these guys were great. It really was a great sandwich, but just really skimpy on meat. Perhaps this was just a quality control issue? But I can't be sure because I was charged for extra. Not sure if I'll be back.
